Lost And Found

I was lost thinking that my thoughts were the answers to everything.
The way out of trouble.
The way out of the mess of thinking seemed to be to
just keep thinking.
But with every thought that offered escape from the noise,
I felt myself dragged deeper in,
until one day it was clear.
All the voices on my head were just voices,
all the voices from my past were just noises,
all the imagery that appeared formlessly before my eyes was a play of nothing.
And I had given it all too much meaning,
assigning things importance when they showed up claiming none.
Emptiness dances,
but forgets its own emptiness.
